01At the pier
Meet me at the pier.
Step off the ship, walk a few honest minutes, and there I'll be — with your free guidebook and a handmade wooden turtle magnet waiting with your name on it.
02From gangway to magnet
Four simple steps off the ship
Exit down the gangway
Follow the crowd off the ship and through the short security tent. Keep walking straight toward the harbor gate — you don't need a shuttle for this.
Turn toward the palms
Once past the gate, bear right along the waterfront road. You'll see a cluster of tall coconut palms and a low stone wall — that's your landmark.
Look for the coral flag
I stand beside a small folding table with a sun-faded coral Pier & Palm flag and a wooden crate of turtle magnets. Roughly a five-minute walk from the ship.
Say aloha
Give me your name (or ship), grab your printed guidebook and your magnet, and ask me anything about the island. No cost, no catch.
03Reserve yours
Save my magnet
Every magnet is cut and finished by hand, so I prep a fresh batch for each ship. Let me know you're coming and I'll set one aside with your name — it helps me make sure no one leaves the pier empty-handed.
04Quick logistics
Before you disembark
Does the magnet really cost nothing?
Correct — the guidebook and the wooden turtle magnet are both free. It's my way of giving cruise visitors a genuine local welcome rather than a sales pitch.
What if I don't reserve one ahead of time?
Walk-ups are always welcome while supplies last. Reserving simply guarantees yours, since each batch is handmade for the day's ship.
How long does the walk from the ship take?
About five minutes on flat ground. It's stroller- and mobility-friendly, and you'll pass through the standard harbor security gate on the way.
What if it's raining or my ship is late?
I move under the covered pavilion by the same palms and stay until 90 minutes before all-aboard. If plans change, email [email protected] and I'll adjust.
Can my whole family come?
Absolutely — bring everyone. Just note your party size on the form so I set aside enough magnets and guidebooks for the group.
